Environmental recently hosted
a delegation from the Gas Authority of India (GAIL), who travelled to
Canada
for Emergency Response training, as part of emergency response program
development
for the new 1237 kilometre Jamnagar - Loni (JLPL) LPG Pipeline system.
The project
consisted
of development of an Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and training of 19
individuals
assigned to manage and operate the JLPL System, which extends from Jamnagar,
on
the western Coast of India, to Loni, near New Dehli.
As part of the
project,
Paladin personnel travelled to India for a 4 week period to work
closely with
GAIL personnel on development of the ERP.
The delegates also
visited
various facilities operated by companies in the petroleum sector within
Alberta,
and toured other sites in Alberta during their two week stay in
Canada.
